This weekend I was lucky enough to have my second baby shower {my first one was in VA before Thanksgiving} – my wonderful mother-in-law hosted a baby shower in NJ for my local Philadelphia area friends and family. It was so great to be able to share our baby love with family and friends in both areas where Charles’ & my family live.
What I Wore: Dress / Shoes / Necklace / Tights
My mom came up from Virginia to spend the weekend with me and to attend the shower – it was so great to spend some quality time with her in Philly! We checked out some Christmas fun in Center City & she helped me organize the nursery – such a big help, it was so great to have her here!
Check out the incredible cake my mother-in-law had made for the shower – I love the clothesline theme, she told me she wanted to replicate the photo we used as part of our baby announcement!

Baby Brinkley was showered with so many amazing goodies – he got everything & anything a baby could want or need. I am working this week to get everything together in the nursery and hope to share a tour of his room with you soon!
Seriously, we are so lucky to have so many people in our lives to shower us with so much joy in anticipation for the arrival of Baby Brinks. Charles & I are so very grateful for all the love & well wishes!

just wondering what he is sleeping in right now, and what did you buy for use in the first few months? We have a bedroom on a different floor and I am not sure what works best. However, a cosleeper won’t work. Thanks!!

Hi Lani, As of now Brooks is sleeping in our room in his pack & play. Since I am still feeding him during the night it’s easiest for us, so I don’t have to go up and down the stairs in the middle of the night. He also occasionally will sleep in the rock & play too, but only once in a while – we are trying to keep him familiar with the pack & play so the transition to the crib will be easier.
