Scenes from my VA Baby Shower

This weekend I was showered with love at my baby shower in Northern Virginia. All my family and friends from the area came together to celebrate our little guy who will soon be gracing us with his presence sometime in the next few weeks.

Soon, but not too soon! {fingers crossed!}

The day was an absolute blast celebrating with family and friends – my mom did an incredible job organizing everything, it was so beautiful and I am so thankful for everyone who made the day very special for me.

Our little man sure is loved!

Here are some photos & party details from my baby shower:

Now onto the details:

It all started with the invitation – a huge shout out to Gabrielle of Lovely Little Pieces who hooked us up with adorable invites for the shower. I told my mom I liked chevron & bow ties and this invitation totally hit the spot!

I also loved the fact that my mom asked everyone to bring a signed book for the baby instead of a card – such a great idea and a nice keepsake. Plus he now has a really great little library started – and we didn’t even get any repeat books!

My parents got a little crafty for the shower – they created this bow tie/chevron diaper cake – I love the little baby booties on top!

One of the games we played was when everyone came in they were asked to guess the baby’s due date, weight and height. My mom displayed both Charles & my hospital photos with our birth information to give everyone an idea of what Baby Brinks may be!

Another fun part of the decor was the baby clothesline – I love the stripe & plaid theme {with some bow ties mixed in for good measure}

In terms of food my mom had the party catered – we enjoyed Italian food – ziti, pasta, meatballs, salad & more! It was very tasty and everyone said the food was delicious! Dessert was also a big hit too – my mom had cupcakes {with little bow tie/chevron toppers}, a baby bump cake {complete with a foot poking through} and cookies as a party favor. I don’t think anyone left hungry!

    I had so much fun putting the shower together and I’d do it all over again for my Baby Girl and Baby Brinks! Love all the photos too!
