Petunia Pickle Bottom has been on my radar even before becoming pregnant. I had seen their bags, accessories and diaper bags in stores for a while now and was always drawn to the awesome patterns and colors. I had been an admiring fan for some time and I was so excited when I was given the opportunity to try out one of their new products for myself, for review on the blog.
Because the lovely folks at PPB know that I have a baby on the way, they offered to send me their new Beginnings Baby Record Book – obviously, I was pumped to check it out!
Inspired by the elegantly organized mothers of Japan, the Beginnings Baby Book is a distinctive way to detail pregnancy through the first years of motherhood with an intuitive, at-a-glance chronicle of important dates, medical records and milestones – all in one easy-to-carry, easy-to-share, perfect place.
The Beginnings Book is full of slots, windowed pockets, a zippered case and hidden compartments to keep everything you need all in one place. There are special cards throughout the book for you to keep track of appointments, immunization notes, birth stats and emergency contact information – the book also features a “Our First Year” booklet which makes it easy to keep track of growth at each doctors appointment.
I love that it has so many different functions – you can use it specifically as a baby book, to keep track of all the important medical/growth information during the first year – it also functions as a really great wallet at the same time, you can keep all your cards & cash in here too. I have also used it as a clutch, zipping up my phone and keys and just taking it out with me. I love the pattern I picked out – Midnight in Malmo – but there are so many other fabric options to choose from, in glazed or embossed. I love the glazed because its easy to wipe clean but the detail in the embossed fabric is really beautiful too.
I can’t wait to fill this book up with all of baby’s important info – I have already started to add in a few things here and there but I love how great of a carry-all it is, in such a cute, little package!

I ride the train into University City every day and I could always use a little more organization in my life, and it doesn’t hurt if it comes in the form of a super cute patterned case!
