This weekend I spent the weekend with family down the shore to celebrate the wedding of Megan & Ben. You may have already seen a few updates on Instagram or Twitter from the weekend, but it was way too gorgeous a wedding not to share all the details from the day with you on the blog.
But first, the details of my outfit: * Dress * Heels * Clutch {similar} * Lipstick
The wedding was held in Avalon, New Jersey – which holds a special place in my heart as I have been going to the beach there for years with Charles. It was the most perfect weekend with gorgeous weather for a November wedding down the shore – and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect as it was right before daylight savings time, so we got to enjoy an extra hour after dancing the night away!
The wedding was held at Stella Maris Church and the reception was at the Avalon Yacht Club, right along the water. It was a beautiful day for a wedding – the bride and groom were able to get some amazing photos at the beach and all the guests enjoyed a lovely cocktail hour outside enjoying the water views.
I was obsessed with all the gorgeous details of this wedding – I sort of got a shabby chic vibe from all the colors and I loved every bit of it. Especially the bicycle built for two {see above} and the succulent place cards {see below}.
The bride and groom had Polaroid cameras and props out and about which created a little DIY photo booth.
Along with gorgeous family photos and an adorable thank you note at everyone’s seat.
And check out the cake/cupcakes – I love the burlap cake topper!
The family was also asked to bring cookies & treats for the cookie bar – I did some damage testing out all the tasty treats {hey – I’m pregnant and wasn’t drinking, so obviously I enjoyed the desserts!}
The couple lives in Georgia and I thought these Georgia Peach Macaroons were incredible.
We took some group photos outside along the water
And managed to watch some of the bride & groom photos as well.
Seriously, Megan was such a gorgeous bride!
And we spent the rest of the evening dancing the night away!
