Baby Bump: 25 Weeks Pregnant

25 Week Cauliflower 25 Weeks

How far along are you? 25 Weeks! I still don’t feel like I look like I am in my 6th month, but then I see pictures of myself and my belly looks bigger on camera than it does when it’s right in front of me! I feel like I look huge in this photo from the past weekend when I attended a friends baby shower, but if you saw me in person I don’t believe you would think my bump to be this big.

Outfit details:

Short Sleeve Scoop Neck Peplum Maternity Top – obsessed with this top

Pleated Mini Skirt –  non maternity, but has some great stretch

Black & Brown Strap Wedges – pumped I was able to bust these out in October!

Baby Shower Outfit

How I’m feeling: Feeling really good – much more rested than last week! We are finally starting to settle into our new place, checking things off our to-do lists each and every day. We still have a lot to do but I am happy with the timing of our move and my pregnancy – I am still able to do so much to help out & hope to get so much more in order & organized before the holiday craziness and way before the baby’s arrival!

Total weight gain: As of my last doctors appointment I am up 9 pounds.

How big is baby? Baby is as big as a Cauliflower this week – {makes me want to make this dish for dinner – yum!} He also has a new sense of equilibrium and has a sense of which way is up and which way is down, which is pretty cool! Baby’s primitive memory is beginning to develop – implying that music and voices will be leaving an impression on our little guys brain! Time to start talking to him even more each day! In the past few weeks he was hanging out really low in my belly, towards my pelvis area but now he is kicking higher during the day – crazy to think how much he moves each day!

Maternity clothes: This past week I have been on the hunt for dresses! I have a wedding coming up next month, my maternity shoot {Yay!!} as well as my two upcoming showers {I’m so lucky – one in PA/NJ & one in VA} not to mention the fact that the holidays are right around the corner. I need some seriously awesome dresses in my life ASAP. I’ve been finding it a little difficult to shop for these occasions by myself & with my growing belly – it’s a completely different shopping experience for me. It’s also hard to shop for these events when I’m not sure how big I will be in a few weeks – but I had a really awesome coupon so I wanted to get some options nonetheless. I’ve pretty much been shopping at Destination Maternity/Pea in the Pod – if you know of any other awesome shops to check out for maternity dresses, please let me know!

Sleep: Obsessed with our new bed. We went from a Full to a Queen mattress & it makes such a big difference in terms of space. Our new mattress is also a pillow top which makes me very happy – but aside from our new bed, I have been getting up SO MANY TIMES each night to pee. It’s such a pain – I wonder when I will ever get an uninterrupted full nights sleep ever again!

Best moment this week: Charles & I went to start our baby registries – we are in the process of picking out the big ticket items – like the stroller, baby-wearer & high-chair – If you have any words of wisdom on your favorite brands, please let me know! We are pretty much going solely off recommendations from friends with kids!

Movement: Little guy is always moving around here and there. He’s woken me up a few times with some kicks here and there – also whenever Jackson is laying near my belly, he starts to kick too – obviously they are going to be best buds.

Food cravings: Honey Nut Cheerios, All.The.Chocolate.Milk, Fierce Grape Gatorade, Spicy Chinese Food

Food aversions: Depends on my mood – but when it’s time to eat I have strong opinions about what I want and what I don’t want.

What I Miss: Enjoying the seasonal pumpkin beers – our new neighbors had a pumpkin themed beer party this weekend. I’m debating storing some of my favorites away in the fridge for post baby. I also miss spicy tuna sushi.

What I’m looking forward to: So many things! Our upcoming maternity shoot, a family wedding, my baby showers, the holidays & getting the baby’s nursery in order. So much to look forward to but at the same time I am really excited to just enjoy my growing belly.

Milestone: Spent a good portion of the week picking out the paint color for the nursery – we aren’t 100% sure yet, but it’s still such a fun process to start to picture everything coming together bit by bit.

I had to be the bearer of bad news but the nights of uninterrupted sleep, not happening for a long time. But you look great, feel good, have energy and are enjoying your pregnancy!

Loved your outfit this past weekend, but you are right in that you do look more pregnant in street clothes than in your weekly shoot. Also, sorry to say that it will be a LONG time before you will get 8 hours of sleep. That’s motherhood for you, but definitely worth it! I know you are ready!

Yay pregnancy! Enjoy that bump & the fun upcoming events 🙂 I loved both of my baby showers—such wonderful events.

    Best of luck!
