Tuesday’s are quickly becoming my favorite day of the week! I love sharing my weekly pregnancy updates on the blog so much! Seriously – SO MUCH! It’s so much fun taking the pictures, seeing what fruit the baby is the size of and finding out what the baby is up to each week – I love sharing the weekly progress.
I have added a Baby Bump page on the blog which will be where all my pregnancy related posts will go, so if you ever need to catch up – check it out! Now – onto week 15!
How far along are you? This question is a little redundant because between the title of the post and all the pictures with the blocks – {BB Blocks -> seriously, I love these things! I purchased them during our 9th week & I love using them in each weekly bump photo!}
How I’m feeling: Feeling really great! This past week was a super busy one for me & I had lots of energy to take on each and every day! I even went to my first spin class {with my baby bump!} I took it easy, got in a great workout & had a blast. I have a new goal of making sure I get to one spin class each week!
Total weight gain: I’m going to report my weight gain after each monthly doctor visit, for a more accurate measurement. Stay tuned!
How big is baby? I had conflicting fruit reports this week – but I went with the majority & baby is about the size of a naval orange – which is a pretty big step up from last week’s lemon, if you ask me! Grow baby grow!
Other growth news for week 15 – Baby can rub it’s eyes, yawn and even blink – the hairline is forming & hair is starting to grow, including the eyebrows & eyelashes – his/her joints and limbs can now all move and the baby can also hear sound, which is pretty awesome!
Maternity clothes: I’ve been casually shopping maternity clothes for a few weeks & have been starting to wear them regularly more and more. Other than Destination Maternity/Motherhood Maternity/Pea in the Pod {which are all the same store/company} and Gap & Old Navy Maternity – Do you have any other places you suggest for maternity clothes?
I am also going to need some new workout tops & bra’s since my current ones are very tight around my chest – Any suggestions for where to look/awesome bra’s & tops for a mom-to-be?
Stretch marks? Thanks so much for the great suggestions last week – I’m going to be checking out more stretch march cream options for sure. I ended up picking up some Palmer’s Stretch Mark cream to try out for now, since it was fairly inexpensive and OH MY! It smells amazing! Seriously, that cocoa butter is awesome!
Sleep: In the beginning of the first trimester I was always getting up super early, then I was able to sleep in and now I am back to waking up early, tired, for no good reason. No fun. I’m hoping this little phase doesn’t last because by the end of each day, I’m exhausted!
Best moment this week: When I was in Destination Maternity & the saleslady immediately said to me – Cute Bump! It’s fun now that people are seeing it more as a baby bump and less of too much lunch. It’s crazy to see how I don’t have much bump in the morning and then by the end of the day, its out and about!
Movement: Felt a little something this week – I immediately called Charles over to check it out but he didn’t feel anything. It was a crazy moment for me because I didn’t know if I was feeling the pulse from my fingers or my little baby moving & stretching. That being said, I know its still early in my pregnancy for real movement, but the little flutters are pretty crazy!
Food cravings: Lemonade, Peaches, Oranges, Mac & Cheese, BBQ
Food aversions: still chicken
Belly button in or out: In.
What I Miss: Being able to sleep on my belly.
What I’m looking forward to: Less than 4 weeks until our anatomy scan, which is when we will **hopefully** know the gender of Baby Brinks. I’m counting down the seconds!
Milestone: We put our first offer in on a home we love this week. We are crossing our fingers everything goes through so we have a home for our new baby. Wish us luck!

I actually found a couple cute things at Kohls in their maternity section. It’s pretty small and limited, but I liked their jeans and got a couple tops/sweaters there too (I was mainly pregnant in the winter). Plus their maternity stuff isn’t that expensive, which is nice! I also suggest maternity tights when it gets cooler. I got a black and gray pair on Amazon and wore them a lot with dresses and skirts!
I’ve not used it for maternity clothes, but Zulily.com is a great online sale site I get shoes and kitchen stuff from and they have at least one maternity vendor per day
Wow – I actually see a huge difference between week 7 and 15. Love to see the comparison photos at the end – Baby Brinkley is slowly making an appearance! You are just glowing!
Fingers crossed for your new home…
You are adorable! Love the bump updates. And I can definitely see a difference between the weeks!
An outstanding share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a coworker who had been doing a little research on this. And he actually ordered me dinner because I stumbled upon it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending some time to discuss this issue here on your website.
When some one searches for his vital thing, therefore he/she
desires to be available that in detail, therefore that thing is maintained over
here.
I am reading your pregnancy journey for the first time tonight and using it as guide since I am also 28 and am pretty much the same height and same built as you. I am 6 weeks along and I for some reason love keeping this a secret. I haven’t even told my husband yet. It’s pretty hard because I do have morning sickness and many food aversions but I am sneaky. I want to keep it to myself for as long as I can get away with it. On Christmas Day, I think that starts my second trimester so maybe then tell my family. I have lost at least 5 lbs. so I doubt I will start showing before then.
