Manduka Yoga unBLOK Review & Giveaway

Recycled Eva Foam Block

Today I wanted to share some exciting news from Manduka, as they launch their latest and most innovative product, the Recycled Foam unBLOK.  A new prop that helps enhance your practice, the unBLOK features an iconic contoured design for complete stability, slip resistant finish and over 50% recycled material (the most recycled block that exists).

unBlok

I was pumped when I had the opportunity to try out the unBLOK for myself – I normally use blocks in my regular yoga practice, but I share the ones at the studios and to be completely honest with you, they gross me out. So it was nice to have my own block to use at yoga.

Got Manduka

Aside from the germ factor, it was great to have this block with me for practice because of its awesome shape. It’s my favorite part of the unBLOK {aside from the fabulous color – mint – which is hard to see in some of these pictures!} The adjacent & dual curves allow for versatility in traditional poses, offering a deeper, more natural arc support while the flat sides of the block maintain the support of a traditional block.

The dual function of this prop creates a gentle spine support and stability for standing poses. It also has a slip-resistant finish and is smooth but easy to grip. I admit, I am not the most flexible person by any means {SUPER tight hips, even after years of yoga!} so I am always one to reach for a block during practice. I love the way to block allows for extra flexibility, I am always so happy for the extra assist!

To help celebrate the launch of the unBLOK, Manduka has kicked-off a digital campaign, the unBLOK party celebrating community yoga studios nationwide.  Yogis are encouraged to nominate and vote for the studios that helped them “unblock” in their practice for a chance to win a range of prizes! Feel free to check the unBLOK party out for yourself!

In honor of the release their newest yoga prop, the wonderful folks at Manduka have offered to giveaway an unBLOK to one lucky And Her Little Dog Too reader. If you are a new yogi or a seasoned professional – everyone could use a block like this in their practice.

Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar or Restorative – any type of yoga is perfect for the unBLOK
