Have you heard of Julep?
I recently heard about it a few weeks ago. It’s sort of like Stitch Fix, but for nail polish & beauty products. You fill out a style profile, which determines which colors are best for you and you get box in the mail filled with goodies just for you!
I filled out my style profile & it determined I was BOHO Glam: You’re a dynamic free spirit with a creative eye. Not gonna lie, I sort of {like} love the sound of that!
In my box I got two Julep Nail Colors, Essential Cuticle Oil & Lip Balm. Not too shabby.
The grey color is called Meryl & the purple sparkles is called Barbara {classic with a twist} – I am a HUGE fan of the party nail, so I can totally see myself using these two colors together. I am also a massive lover of grey nail polish, it’s my go-to nail color as well as sparkles in general {because they are awesome – what’s not to love about glitter?!}
I also have to say that I love the polish itself as well as the packaging. I think the shape of the bottles are really cute but just a great size overall. Another thing to add: Julep also has a great point system, like BaubleBar, which goes towards future purchases.
So I am also happy to report that I got this box for free. I got an awesome promo code that I couldn’t wait to share with you – to try out Julep Maven and get your first box free, use code FREEBOX – How fun is that? I would definitely recommend checking Julep out for yourself, and why not get some free goodies at the same time?! {Side Note – I did pay $3 of my own money for shipping & handling for the free box.}
If you do check it out, let me know what fun colors you get!
Happy Nail Polishing!

Wow – your description is you to a T – they nailed it! What a great idea for our busy lives – convenient and simple!
Question about the Julep FREEBOX offer! I actually saw this on another blog site and asked the creator about this…but she said it must be a google ad on her page because she didn’t put it there and hasn’t tried it to know.
I know when you sign up for this is puts you into an “autorenewal” mode and you continue to be charged and sent boxes. Do you know if this is something where you can sign up, receive the free box and then cancel right away so you don’t continue to get billed and such? I know some things like this are real easy to cancel and you can keep the free item, but others make it impossible to cancel or you cancel and they continue to bill/send anyway, or they will let you cancel but then charge you for the item that was originally supposed to free!
I am not trying to sound cheap, I just don’t really have a need for a monthly box because I am a sucker for trying new things as it is and have a huge supply of make-up/beauty products already as a result. I have been hearing about this Julep thing for a while now though and would like to try their polish…especially if I can get a box for FREE!
Hey Mal – yes you can turn off the auto renew, or you can just skip months you dont want anything. I have a little reminder on my calendar to remind me to skip if i don’t want that month’s box or don’t like the color scheme – you should totally get the first box for free though, it was a nice little freebie!
let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks! Love your site!
So you can cancel entirely after the free box comes OR just skip months you don’t like the products??
i personally have just skipped. so thats all i can speak to.
why not give them a call to confirm you have the freedom to cancel at anytime?
then you will be sure – good luck!
I have had friends that signed up for the Julep box and have been able to cancel completely after they received the first box without a problem. I’m pretty sure you have to call them.
If I get the free box and then cancel, will there be any problems? I want to try this because it sounds amazing, but if I don’t love it or think it’s worth the money I want to make sure I can cancel before trying it out and getting stuck with a hidden fee if I less than love it. Any help/input would be awesome!
Stacia, I don’t believe so! That’s what I know some people have done and they haven’t had any problems. I just skip months I don’t want to receive anything and once in a while treat myself – I love the nail polish!
Let me know if you have any other questions!
how do you turn off auto-renewal?
I HAVE CALLED & LEFT A MESSAGE, SINCE WE ARE UNABLE TO SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE TO CANCEL MY MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION. I WAS UNAWARE THAT THE COMPANY HAD BEEN CHARGING ME $24.99 PER MONTH FOR THE PAST 3 MONTHS AFTER THE FREE BIRTHDAY BOX. PLEASE REMOVE ME & SEND A CONFIRMATON #
