my first {stitch fix}

It’s official.

I am Stitch Fix obsessed.

There is something to be said about a personalized styling service, with hand-picked goodies sent straight to your door. Doesn’t get much easier and it doesn’t get more exciting that that!

When you first join Stitch Fix you fill out a style profile. It asks your everything you would ever want someone to know about your style – and more! You fill out your height, weight, bra size and what you normally wear in pants, tops, dresses, etc. You  let your stylist know if you prefer clothes more loose or fitted as well as what you would classify your current style as. It was so much fun to fill out the questionnaire and go through all the pictures & styles and share what I liked & what I loved.

You then pick a date to receive your fix. I put mine in to receive this week because I knew I was going away this weekend – who doesn’t love a new outfit when you have a trip planned?

I was so excited when I got the email letting me know my fix was on it’s way! It was so exciting knowing new goodies were headed my way, but not knowing what was inside kept me anxiously waiting with excitement!

Here’s what I got in my first Stitch Fix:

**********************************************

BB Dakota Black & White Blouse

This is the first thing I tried on. I enjoyed the loose, flowy fit of the top, but wasn’t the biggest fan of the black & white coloring, even though I know you can totally do so much with it!

Side Note: The other cool thing about Stitch Fix is each piece of clothing comes with a little card that gives you outfit ideas & different ways to style the piece. Love that!

Sanctuary Ponte Pants

OMG, these pants are amazing. They are like black stretchy pants, but fancy & casual at the same time. I’m in love. They have a skinny silhouette and can be worn with flats, heels or boots. I love a pant that hits me at the ankle like this with just a tad bit of a flare. The material on them is amazing and they fit like a dream.

Everyone needs these pants in their life. Seriously.

Kut from the Kloth Dot Shirt

This is the exact reason why Stitch Fix is so amazing. I would have never, ever tried this top on. Never would have given it a second look if I saw it in a store. I tried it on & really love it. The dots are awesome, I enjoy the fit & the color. It’s light fabric, 3/4 length sleeves and I can already see myself wearing it with white shorts in the summer. I can also pair it with a cute sweater, jeans & boots and wear it now! Really happy about this!

Kut from the Kloth Tie Top

I’ve never tried this brand before, not sure I’ve even heard of it, but I am pumped I received two totally different tops from the same brand to try out because I really liked this one too! I love the color – again, something I can wear for multiple seasons and the fit is flattering too. At first I wasn’t thrilled about the tie at the bottom of the shirt, but you can easily flip it under (see scarf photos below!)

Mystree Crinkle Scarf

This scarf was the final item in my package. Pretty cute – loved the color & it was super soft.

So what did I keep?

Well, as you know I asked for your opinion on these two tops on Facebook, twitter & Instagram – Thank you all so much for the great responses! Literally it was tied – half of you loved the dots & the other half loved the orange.

So obviously, I had to keep both. Duh.

Oh, and the pants too because they are amazing – seriously, AHhmazing!

A few other things you should know about Stitch Fix – you pay $20 upfront for the styling, but if you decide to keep anything in your package, you get $20 in credit, which is pretty awesome.

Once you receive your Fix you have 3 days to decide what you want to keep. It was nice to be able to try everything on in the comfort of my own closet & test everything out with different accessories. Also, if you do decide to keep everything in your shipment, you get 25% off the total price for keeping your 5 items.

Returning what I didn’t want was super easy – a pre-paid mailing bag is included in the shipment & whatever you don’t want to keep, just toss in the mail. After you decide what you loved & what you didn’t you fill out a little survey online & give them feedback – so next time they can make the picks for you even better!

I would defiantly use Stitch Fix again –  it was totally fun & a great way to try out some new things. The process was super easy and I am really happy with my picks!

      Hi Erica,
The pricing varied from $40 – $80 on various items, next time I have asked them to keep the prices lower. When you sign up you put your credit card on file, you let them know what items you are keeping & what items you are sending back {and why} and they charge accordingly.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

      Thanks,
      Leslie
