Talula’s Garden

Ladies & Gentlemen of the Blog,

I would like to formally introduce you to my favorite restaurant in the city of Philadelphia.

Talula’s Garden.

Charles & I were given a gift certificate to this magical restaurant as a wedding present – It was literally one of our favorite gifts! We had heard incredible things about this establishment and were pumped to get the chance to test it out ourselves.

I was immediately in love with the decor. The outdoor garden seating area is quaint, chic & beautiful. I loved all the little attention to detail throughout the entire restaurant.

We started our meal with a bottle of red wine – the waiter recommended the Il Cuore and it paired fabulously with our meal. I would definitely get the wine again!

Not to mention I loved the cute little heart on the bottle.

And the Confucius quote.

Everyone makes wine purchases based on how pretty the bottle is, right?

Next up in our marathon meal was a cheese plate. The word on the street from our friends who had been to Talula’s Garden before was that the wine & the cheeses were out of this world, so obviously we had to try a little bit of everything.

Our waiter suggested a lovely cheese plate which featured a variety of goats, sheep & cow’s milk – a few hard & soft options  with some great bread, nuts & dried fruit to pair with the cheeses.

Each one was incredible.

I would gladly live my life drinking wine & eating cheese from Talula’s on a regular basis and I would be a happy girl!

As an appetizer I enjoyed the chilled cauliflower soup and it was tasty & delicious.

For our main entree’s Charles got the rabbit which he said was phenomenal.

And I went with the salmon.

Just like everything else we had tasted up to this point, it was amazing. Everything was super fresh, paired with seasonal vegetables & sauces & full of flavor.

I was physically unable to pass-up dessert.

And there were Doughnuts on the menu (one of my favorite things EVER!) – so I was all in.

They were the perfect ending to quite literally the perfect meal.

The menu changes based on the seasons – so if that’s not an excuse to go back & enjoy some more amazing food,  I don’t know what is!

Talula’s Garden – I hope to see you again VERY soon!
