I have recently been having a bit of a love affair with Old City Philadelphia. There are so many amazing restaurants, shops and yoga studios over in that area of the city and I can’t believe I haven’t been taking advantage of all it has to offer since I have been living here! My current obsession is Wedge & Fig. I have been in and out of Old City multiple times during my time in Philadelphia and this little spot has been on my radar for a while! Luckily this week I was able to calm my Wedge & Fig craving and try it out!
It is an adorable little bistro with inside seating as well as outside seating in a garden in the back of the restaurant! Wedge & Fig serves a variety of specialty cheeses, sandwiches and great brunch options. Everything on the menu looked amazing it was hard to decide what I wanted!
I eventually went with the Betty Draper – I heart Mad Men and I heart this sandwich! I was truffled egg + cucumber on whole wheat.
Pretty much sandwich heaven if you ask me!
And what’s a Betty Draper sandwich without a side of cigarettes? I found it hilarious that when I opened my meal I found a box of candy cigarettes – Betty Draper would definitely approve! And any restaurant with this kind of humor gets a thumbs up in my book!
Also, I was in the mood for something sweet so I treated myself to a chocolate cupcake as well.
The perfect ending to a yummy meal!

That’s hilarious, a sandwich with a box of candy cigarettes! I wonder what you get when you order other sandwiches. I guess I can add that restaurant to my list to try! Looks Yummy!
yay! I just moved back to Philly and need to try out some of these fabulous places!
I have GOT to try that place out! I’m thinking after that might be fun after the R-n-R Philly Half this weekend. I hope they allow stinky runners. 🙂
I LOVE this place. They know how to use cheese; very smart. I love the marmite sandwich…
CJ: That is the intention, but I ended up not relaly doing much on my free days so far. I did just sign on to write South Orange County restaurant reviews for AOL Patch, so maybe I’ll link to those or something. I’ll try to get better about this, but I’m unsure. Restaurant food hasn’t been very nice to me as of late, but it hasn’t been the best food either. And still haven’t been to Bruxie. I’m dying to go though.
Marketing, advertising and promoting your new company is an obstacle many cannot overcome.
I am engaged and will no longer wear them, but I have decided to give them away for
Listia credits since they have very little monetary value.
This makes your customers more comfortable ordering.
That’s not even 10 minutes well spent!
Good to find an expert who knows what he’s talking about!
TYVM you’ve solved all my problems
