When It’s Hotter Outside than in the Hot Yoga Studio…

What does this chick do when its 100+ degrees in Philadelphia? Take a hot yoga class of course!

The word on the street was that a brand spankin’ new yoga studio opened up in Manayunk, just a hop, skip and a jump away from my apartment so i obviously had to check it out for myself! This morning I ventured out to explore the newest addition to the Philadelphia yoga scene – HotBox Yoga

I am not usually a fan of going to a hot yoga class when its THIS Hot outside, but lately with marathon training and waking up with some sore muscles, a good ol’ stretch in some heat is just what the doctor ordered! The 95* hot yoga heat is my favorite way to practice – you still work up quite a sweat but to me the 10* difference between hot yoga and Bikram (which is a yoga class in 105* heat) is all mental toughness – and sometimes i just want to get my stretch on!

Is it weird to say that it was hotter outside than it was in my hot yoga class? This summer heat is crazy!

The HotBox studio in Manayunk was simply gorgeous. It had high ceilings, hardwood floors and a massive window looking out onto Main Street.

It was a very peaceful and calming space. I really enjoyed my practice there.

Word on the street is they are having a new student special – 2 weeks unlimited for $20 – so if you are in the area and want to check out a new hot yoga studio, I highly recommend HotBox!

After my sweaty hot yoga class I headed over to one of my favorite coffee joints – Saxby’s! They have quite a selected of specialty latte’s and I have a personal goal to try them all!

Today I went with the Grasshopper – Chocolate & Mint! Yummers!

Today i spent the rest of the day getting lots of work done and enjoying the A.C. inside! I took Jackson out for a walk and he was panting after 5 minutes! It’s too hot out and only going to get hotter!

What’s your favorite way to sweat in this crazy summer heat?
