I must admit, I am going a little stir crazy this winter! We are still in January and we have already had so much snow on the ground! Last night surely didn’t help matters, but I have a the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler to train for and I am already bored with the sad little gym in our apartment complex.
Sometimes when I like to switch it up a notch, I look to my ever growing at home workout collection to change things up.
I wanted to share with you all my collection for winter workout entertainment! Enjoy!
I have a few favorites in my DVD collection – I really love anything Jillian Michaels. I think she rocks and I am a huge Biggest Loser fan so I love to watch her on the show!
The 30 Day Shred has been a favorite around the blog world for some time now and I agree that it’s an awesome workout. I also recently picked up the 6 week six pack DVD and I enjoy that as well.
Is it weird to say that I like when Jillian Michaels yells at me from the TV!?
Another fabulous part of the collection is the Power Sculpt. I like the fact that this DVD has 3 different trainers with different styles and different workouts. It keeps me on my toes!
When I am in the mood for some Pilates I love the Winsor Pilates DVD. It’s a fun workout. I also picked up the Standing Pilates Bend for a few bucks at Five Below – It’s a nice little change of pace too!
I also love Polly’s Yoga for Runners every once in a while too!
My KettleWorX collection always helps me work up a sweat. It also came with SO MANY DVD’s to work out every part of your body.
I like this workout because I don’t really get bored from it, which can happen if I watch the same DVD too many times in a row – it doesn’t motivate me after a while, so I have to keep changing things up to keep it fresh!
My Women’s Health Big Book of Exercises has also been a great help to keeping me on my toes during the cold winter months. There are so many great workouts in here – I love trying them all!
I also received this in the mail the other day. I can’t wait to test it out!
What do you do when you can’t get to the gym or a class and still need to work up a sweat at home? Do you turn on Exercise TV? A favorite video?

Thanks for the tips! I'm looking for a good workout DVD that doesn't include too much jumping because I feel like it annoys my downstairs neighbors

I'm a total Jillian nerd. I have 3 of her dvds and now I'm looking at the Abs dvd you have and sort of want to pick it up on my way home from work…
So many people don't like her style (aka yelling). But I sort of like it… it's sort of overly aggressive motivation?
You have quite the collection! I have the Jillian DVD and i brought it to our friends ski weekend last year, the guys watched us do it and made fun of us. it was awesome.

I love Jillian too. I just bought the 6 week six pack one and it came in yesterday. So excited to try it this weekend!
Love all of these suggestions! I am looking for more things to add to my routine so I can cross train while I train for my marathon. thanks for the tips!
If I don't get to the gym for my Zumba class or go outside to walk, I usually don't do anything. I'm not a fan on DVD videos, not sure why either.
Glad that you enjoy the workouts though!
I tried Exercise TV on On Demand and loved it! Thanks for the recommendation!
