If you are expecting a post about food or running, this isn’t it. This post is about two exciting things that happened to me today that are both wedding related – and since I am less than 5 months out, pretty much everything is wedding related these days!
Tonight the exciting thing that I did was that I met my wedding hairdresser for the first time. Carrie is a friend of Meredith’s (who will be doing my wedding make-up) and tonight I met with her to get my color touched up and a little trim.
Here is what my hair looks like now:
Have I told you lately how hard it is to take a picture of yourself in the bathroom mirror? It’s even harder when the mirror is a little dusty!
I am very happy with the result. I wanted a touch of color because I wanted my hair to all be one color, instead of the orange and yellow and dark brown and light brown mess that it had become from the summer sun.
It is a lot darker now than it was before. I like to think of it as a darker chocolate brown.
Do you see the difference in color in this picture from our cruise? It was light brown on top and then it went to all sorts of colors on the bottom. Definitely not wedding day appropriate. I had to step it up a notch!
Before it even had a reddish hue, which I do not like at all. I think a touch of red looks nice on others, its just not how I roll.
I am excited that I have hair all one color and one length. Now I have to start thinking about how I want to style my hair for the big day!
Up or down? Decisions, decisions!
In other wedding news, I got an exciting package today.
Oh no she didn’t!
Oh yes she did!
I have been dreaming about these shoes for a while now and I figure if your wedding isn’t an excuse to splurge, then I don’t know what is! I have been saving my pennies for these bad boys and I am excited to announce that they are all mine! But no peaking until May 21, 2011! 🙂

Hair looks great! Love your shoe choice!! Can't wait for the reveal!
Manolo's for the bride!!! Love it!!!!! I just got married and wore Manolo's too. Although, in my case they were originally a call to the bar present I bought for myself.
Actually, my blog post today featured some of the lessons I learned in planning our wedding. You might want to check it out!
And PS: Jackson is incredibly cute!!!!
Hair is looking good, but I am desperate to see those shoes.

Ohhh fancy shoes, looking forward to seeing them 🙂 Your hair looks great girlie! I've been growing my hair out. I want to wear my hair half up/half down and still have it pretty long when it's curled. 🙂
P.S. your dog is too cute for words!

Do not love waiting.

Your hair color looks wedding day appropriate! Very pretty, lets try and keep it that way! I vote for hair being put up for your big day! You want to look a little different for your hubby to be – more beautiful that usual…
Manolo's for a special girl and day – why not?
I can't believe you're teasing us by not showing us the shoes! Ahhhh so exciting!
hope the shoes are comfy!
Love the hair color! I can't wait to see those Manolos! So jealous!
Nooooo you have to share the Manolos! So so so jealous. I've already mentioned a number of times that I care more about the shoes on my feet than the dress. I dont know if I'll go Manolo or stick with my first love, Jimmy Choo.
shoes!
I cannot wait to see your shoes!!! I am a shoe girl! (and a bag girl. Its a sickness really)
