Tonight’s side dish was inspired by this amazing recipe found on 101 Cookbooks – Spicy Cauliflower with Sesame Seeds
I changed a bit of this recipe around based on what I had in the pantry, just like I always do, and it still worked really well!
First I sautéed some onions and garlic in a frying pan with olive oil
While that was cooking on the stove I washed some cauliflower
Next I added some sesame seeds to the mix on the stove
Then I added the cauliflower to cook until tender
I sprinkled some chili flakes on top to give the cauliflower some heat
It turned out to be an amazingly tasty side dish. The chili flakes gave it a little warmth and the sesame seeds gave it a little crunch. Cauliflower is easily one of my favorite vegetables so I am always excited when I see a recipe to allow me to see it in a new way!

I also added a bit of fresh shredded cheese to the top because melted cheese on cauliflower makes me happy. It’s probably because that’s how my mom always made it for me! Yay Cheese!
