I love sharing with the blog world some of my favorite things. I also love shopping…possibly a little too much sometimes, but I believe the loss in my wallet could possibly be your gain, because I really enjoy sharing cool products with my readers.
My newest awesome purchase is a Porteen Gear camera bag.
Sometimes I am guilty of expensive camera abuse. I am known for wrapping my SLR in a scarf or cardigan and throwing it in my deep abyss of a handbag. Not good for the camera, I’m sure.
Enter Porteen Gear.
I am in love with the fact that this looks more like a messenger bag or a handbag than a camera bag. The body of the bag is made of water repellent waxed canvas and 100% black leather.
It is designed to hold a full size DSLR camera and two lenses, tall enough to carry a 70-200 tall lens. It is also good for a day trip with one extra lens and a flash (side note – I want a 200 mm lens and a flash! Santa?!) . There is a heavy duty zippered pocket on the front and a velcro pocket on the inside back. There are also 3 easy access pockets on the front to hold lens caps and a pen.
The Porteen Gear bags are padded on all sides with thick foam and the inside padding can move around to accommodate a bigger camera or move out of the way to make this a purse with one big compartment. Spacious!
I love the black and white design on this bag, but there are lots of other styles to choose from.
The bag also has a strap which is adjustable for shoulder or cross-over use.
With the bag purchase I also received a matching zipper pouch and a leather business card holder.
Jackson offered to model it for for sizing purposes.
I just love how this bag fits my new lens, my camera and has room for more. Its so much fun to carry around with me! I love it.
I would also like to say that I paid for this bag with my own cash. I really love the bags offered in Porteen Gear’s shop. She has lots of different sizes and colors. Check them out if you are in the market for an amazing SLR bag!
What do you think about these bags? What’s your favorite camera accessory?

SUPER cute! I need a camera bag like that — I buy normal bags large enough to shove my camera and extra lens inside. Poor DSLR needs a real home!
Love how organized it makes you!

That bag is so functional – I love the black/white design. I'm sure it will serve your purposes very well.
