Birthday Breakfast

Yesterday morning I woke up bright and early like a kid on Christmas morning because it was my Birthday! Woohoo!

I woke up and was immediately greeted by fiance who handed me my birthday present. I think he was excited to give it to me because he knew how much I would love it.

A Nikon 35 mm lens!!!!!

Woohoo! I was so excited when I opened this! I have been dreaming about getting another camera lens for my D40 for a while now!

Best birthday present ever! It comes with a sweet lens hood and everything!

Obviously I had to go out and play with my new toy right away, so we headed down to check out the beach.

I immediately began snapping pretty pictures along the way.

FYI – Avalon is part of the Jersey Shore, but it’s nothing like that Jersey Shore. It’s much more civilized.

After our little walk along the water, fiancé and I headed out for my birthday breakfast. We decided to try out the Avalon Anchorage Marina for the first time.

I love breakfast.

This place was really cute. It had outside covered dining and great views. You sit and eat your meal right along the water and watch the boats go by.

Fiancé enjoyed the Western Omelet.

While I celebrated my 26th year with chocolate chip pancakes!

I also stole some of fiancé’s watermelon.

We hung out for a bit, enjoyed our breakfast and watched the water. It was a peaceful way to start my birthday, because I knew things were going to get crazier later in the day!

When we got home we immediately started the morning birthday celebration with some champagne.

I love mimosas at the beach. There is nothing better.

Cheers to 26 years!

Jackson joined in on the fun as well. His favorite thing in the whole world (I’m convinced) is to sit outside on a deck and watch people and dogs and the world go by, with a little wind in his fur.
