Side Salad with a Side of Jackson

Thanks for all your suggestions on what to see and do in Boston! I am so excited for our weekend away!  I am literally counting down the hours until we get on the train Thursday morning! So much to do between now and then though!

I have spent the majority of the morning getting caught up on emails and doing some work and organizing my life. I am a big believer in the ‘To-Do’ List. I have one that I add things to and cross things off everyday. Otherwise I think I would totally lose track of everything I have going on!

I worked up quite an appetite for lunch today! I made a massive arugula mix salad with cucumbers and peppers in my biggest Cali bowl. My salad was topped off with some Brianna’s poppy seed dressing. I also had a size of Arnold Thin’s with melted pepper jack.

The salad rocked my world.

I love a big bowl of greens with a side of carbs. YUM!

I also enjoyed my meal with a side of Jackson. He is looking as cute as ever!

Please ignore my pile of clothes on the floor behind Jackson. I pack for trips by pulling everything I tentatively want to wear out of my closet, putting it in a pile and then going from there. You know how I love to pack A LOT with me when I travel. Fiancé and I don’t really have set plans for what we are doing up in Boston during our time up there, so I obviously have to pack for endless possibilities of things we might be doing!

If you have any packing words of wisdom for me, I would appreciate them! We are going from Thursday – Monday so that’s a lot of outfits! Hopefully I can pile everything into a bag (or two!)

Jackson is SO cute!!! I am the worst packer ever, so I can't really offer much advice. I've been known to take 6 hours to pack for a weekend trip. It stresses me out so much I need to take breaks in the middle! I've tried lists, matching outfits before packing, and organizing according to days…but I always end up with way to much regardless!

Can I please squeeze Jackson? What a doll!

Hmm, no packing advise here. My boyfriend and I have a role reversal when it comes to that. He is all about making lists and organzation. Me? I throw anything and everything into my bag!

If you like 'to do' lists, then you like lists. I make a list of outfits that I will need and then go from there. If I am vegging on vaca, I put together a couple and then my fave relaxing gear.

ha, jackson is so cute. he makes me smile.

    i loveee peppers! how yummm-o!

packing tips? an oldie but goodie. roll your clothes! it seriously is the best thing, evahhh. and believe it or not, they don't wrinkle, either. when i went to ecuador we were only allowed ONE bag. i cringed at the thought…

but i ended up lucking out with the rolling method. also, rule of thumb: you don't need 15 sweaters and 10 pairs of jeans. that's always my problem. i pack for the worst and best situations. but in reality, pack a day and night outfit for each day you'll be there. and maybe an inbetween outfit just in case. it's definitely better to be safe than sorry, but no need to go overboard. remind yourself of that!

    woooo, boston!

I have to agree with the person above me. I never tried rolling clothes but I've always heard people say its a good way to pack because you can fit more in your suitcase! 🙂

I always say ''roll'' your clothes and you will definitely get more clothes in your luggage. Have a great time.

I'm squeezing Jackson right now! Ii'm gonna have to try that roll method. I always pack too much when I travel and have to hang everything up when I get back. I really need to tone down my packing too!
