Bright and early at 8 am on Saturday morning, fiancé, Jackson and I woke up and headed down to the Philadelphia Art Museum area for our engagement photo shoot with April Ziegler.
We ended up spending about 3 hours down there for our shoot, longer than I expected to spend down there, but in an awesome way! There was no rush to anything and we just took our time. I was so excited to shoot down by the Art Museum, Azalea Gardens and the Waterworks. There are so many fun places to stop and shoot.
These pictures were taking in the Azalea Gardens. I love all the green.
Sabrina was an amazing friend and offered to come down and take some pictures of the shoot for the blog. She woke up bright and early just for me. I heart her! Here are a few of my favorites just to give you an idea of two of the areas where we stopped.
Can I also just stop for a second and tell you how much I love the first dress I wore? Fiancé and I did one outfit change and Jackson did a few collar changes. I love how this dress twirled! I borrowed this dress from Sabrina, she wore it in her engagement pictures at the Art Museum when it was white and had it dyed after the wedding! I love this dress so much! It was awesome!
You know how I roll – throwing up peace signs!
Jackson was pretty much the star of the show. He was an awesome little puppy and I think we got some great shots with him.
Another location – by the rock wall. I think this is an awesome background for pictures.
I had a great time at the photo shoot. Fiancé and I had so much fun.
When I tell you that there are so many little nooks and awesome backgrounds for pictures, you have no idea how many there are for pictures. Yesterday was such a beautiful morning – we couldn’t have asked for a better day for pictures. Here are some of the areas we were shooting at.
I spy with my little eye the place where fiancé proposed!
I had a great time working with April. She was really fun and I know she got some awesome and really creative shots. April’s husband, Kevin, came along to help with Jackson when she was taking pictures of fiancé and I.
I am so happy we won the local Flaunt Your Rock contest (and even more thankful for YOUR VOTES!) because we had this awesome opportunity to work with April for our engagement pictures. She said there will be a sneak peak of pictures later this week, which I will share with you all and then we will get access to the full gallery in a few weeks! Stay tuned!

Did you hit the Love statue? A girl I knew in college had a black-and-white shot done there that was amazing.
Looks like fun! Ours were done in Savannah, Ga., and even though it was so fun, I was surprised at how tiring it was.

P.S. I just realized April is your wedding photographer. LOVE HER. I guessed that from the shots of the pup on your page (I can tell her style!), but giggled when I saw I was right. You're a very lucky girl!
