Christmas Traditions

Last night after I met up with Aileen we headed straight towards the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center. Aileen and I have a yearly tradition of doing Christmas in NYC. We check out all the cool window decorations, see the sights and usually see a fun show.

This year our tradition almost didn’t happen, but I am glad we were able to pull it off last minute. It wouldn’t be Christmas to me if I didn’t come up to NYC for the Holiday season!

Here are pictures of us at the tree from 2007 & 2008

Here we are from last night. I love this tradition of ours.

I love that Christmas tree.

The snowflakes at Saks are also fun to watch.

As are the ice skaters. Aileen has seen 3 or so couples get engaged on this rink! Love it!

After frolicking around enjoying the Christmas atmosphere, Aileen and I decided to stop for dinner (and warm up!) at Barcibo. It was a cute little wine bar. Aileen always finds us awesome places to go!

Since it was a wine bar, we obviously had to start out with some wine. Our waitress gave us some suggestions and we decided on a nice little bottle of red. Yum!

We started off with a lovely platter of La Tur cheese. It came with some date jelly and some great bread. It was very yummy with the wine. I love me some cheese.

We also shared a Caesar salad and sweet sausage, peas and artichoke risotto. The risotto was beyond fabulous. It was so yummy and full of flavor. This was my second time having artichokes and they were really good. The sweet sausage was the perfect addition to the plate.

Stay tuned for a re-cap of what we did next!

Looks like so much fun. I grew up in MA and never ventured out to NYC at Christmas time…now that I live across the country, I wish I took advantage of living so close! I will for sure have to go one year!

I love our white jacket, girl! It looks so warm and cozyyyy 🙂 Though I have a feeling you probably weren't very warm and cozy, it's been freezing as of late!
