Saturday night, after a looooong day of reception site shopping with the rents, I came home late and organized all my race gear for the morning. I have lots of stuff in this massive pile:
race bib, gracie’s gear tank, headsweats hat, drymax socks, Road ID, Zensah running sleeves, Clif shot blocks, SPI belt, Ipod shuffle, Garmin Forerunner 405 and Sugoi tights
In the morning for my pre-race eats I enjoyed a slice of Vermont bread with some Crazy Richards PB and a naner. It is always perfect pre-race fuel for me.
I enjoyed it with a side of Amazing Grass Berry. Nom Nom.
You may remember that my BFF Michele got engaged this past year, and is getting married this June, and yours truly is also recently engaged and planning a wedding for May 2011. We decided to make bridal motivation tanks and wear them for the race this weekend!
The each are bright pink (obviously) with Bride to Be on the front (in sequins) and our wedding dates on the back. Check mine out:
Together in out matching shirts. Front and the back.
If you like it then you should’a put a ring on it! Woop Woop!
Race morning with our cheering section Aileen (plus fiancé who is taking the picture!) Aileen came down from NYC to cheer us on!
Standing in our corral getting ready for the race. This was Michele’s first half marathon, so she was pumped for that! Remember when we promised to run this race together in July? It was awesome to have that come to reality this weekend. Michele and I have been BFFs since kindergarten, went to grade school and high school together, are both engaged at the same time and now we are running half marathons together! Crazy how time fly’s! We are growing up!
It was a little chilly on Sunday morning, but the city was looking beautiful as ever.
And then it was time for the race. This time I promise the recap is up next! Stay tuned!

Love all your gear! Funny how your spibelt matches the shirt, mine is black with purple and I just got a purple shirt! We should run a race together and wear our spibelts with matching shirts.
