After my 5K race this morning, I came home and wanted to relax a bit with boyf, but I didn’t get to sit down for too long before we were taking our bikes out on West River Drive. Since boyf got his bike a few weeks ago, he always wants to go for a bike ride which is great! I love going out for rides down to the city and exploring Fairmount Park. It’s so much fun, and it was such a beautiful day out for a bike ride.
West River Drive was absolutely stunning today.
We stopped along the way to take some pictures. Here I am with the city and the Art Museum in the background.
We are so hardcore with our bikes! (haha..not really!!)
Close-up of the Philly skyline:
Isn’t the Art Museum so pretty on the water?
I got a little picture happy today because it was so gorgeous out, so boyf was taking silly pictures of me!
I took boyf down to where I got to classes everyday and then we headed over to the Eastern State Penitentiary area. We biked around the prison. Check out the massive walls!
This sad little tree was growing through the prison walls.
It would have been pretty cool to see this massive prison in operating condition back in the day. Now it is a historical site and there are tours all day (and its a Haunted House!). It’s a pretty cool piece of Philadelphia history!
After biking for a while we decided to take a pit stop at Mugshots. Boyf wanted to see where I meet RhodeyGirl every week for lunch. He wanted to know what all the fuss was about!
When we got there I knew I wanted something Pumpkin! I decided to treat myself to the Pumpkin Spiced Cupcake.
Is your mouth-watering yet? My mouth is watering just reliving the few moments that this cupcake was with us. It was beyond delicious.
I wish when I ask boyf to take a picture of me, he would look at where he was shooting the camera!
That’s a little better. We need to work on boyf’s photography skills.
And with my Pumpkin Cupcake I had a Pumpkin Spiced Latte. Fall is in the air my friends! Get this seasonal stuff while it lasts! I actually got the LAST Pumpkin Spiced Latte today. After they made mine, they ran out of the flavoring. It was written in the stars for me to have this pumpkin snack today!
Oh yeah. Right there. That’s the good stuff. MmMmMm!
Before we took off on our little bike ride today, boyf and I packed some bars to snack on. I was in my Pumpkin Zone, as you can see from above, but boyf decided to snack on a GNU Flavor and Fiber bar with his coffee.
He had the Orange Cranberry bar and said it was very orange-y. At first he really like the flavor, but by the last bite, he said it was too much for him. He really likes the GNU bars though!
We biked a little over 11 miles today. It was a nice little workout, and we seriously couldn’t have asked for a better day. So with the 11 mile bike ride combined with my 5K race this morning, I say I deserve a little day off tomorrow! I am looking forward to getting some work and studying in and just relaxing!
For dinner I didn’t want to make anything so I decided to order Thai takeout. I ordered the Vegetable Pad Thai, but when I got home it was Chicken. I hate when that happens. I ate about 1/4 of it and was full. Portion sizes in this world are out of control! At least I have leftovers for tomorrow!
I love Thai food, but I always end up ordering the same damn thing (pictured above). Anyone have any Thai food suggestions? I need to spice up my ordering and switch things up a bit!
Happy Saturday Night to All!

I love pumpkin! I'm so ready to start baking again!!
I've never had Thai food so I have no suggestions, sorry! =[ It does look good though!
My faves are squash curry and ka-ree (a yellow curry with potatoes). Actually, I probably love other curries too…try one sometime! 🙂
That is so some serious pumpkin! Love it!
That park is gorgeous!!
I get red curry, but it is definitely better at some restaurants than others! This one place by my parents house loads it with seasonal veggies and and it is more creamy than other places. Pad Thai is always my safe choice, haha…
Great photos and I want that cupcake! Looks delicious!s
The bike ride scenery looks so pretty! And that pumpkin cupcake DID make my mouth water. Yum!!
hands down one of the best looking cupcakes I've ever seen, drooooooooooolage x's 10!
I love pumpkin! That cupcake looks pretty amazing!
where'd you get the thai from it looks really good! I always order either chicken pad thai or veggie pad thai, and I always proceed to eat too much of it. I actually haven't had thai in almost a year! Maybe more actually.
I also like the veggie rolls they often have.
Oooh, that cupcake looks divine.
I'm a big pad thai fan myself. I do eat chicken, but I prefer tofu pad thai. Although lately, my "go to" thai order is for sauteed chicken with mixed vegetables. Not exactly Thai-specific, but my favorite Thai place makes an amazing version.
