I am embarrassed to say that I don’t think I have been grocery shopping in about a month. Sure I have picked up a few things here and there, but Boyf and I have been all over the place each weekend in August, we have kind of been making good use of everything we had already had in the kitchen. I explored the internet and have been making notes of things I have been wanting to try to make, so I pretty much only picked up the necessities! But expect some fabulous new meals and treats in the new future!
I also made a pretty new purchase the other day.
I got a new Dell Mini 10 Netbook!
I have had my other computer (Inspiron 6000) for about 4 years. It has been good to me, but I needed a new one! I shall reveal the need for my new computer on a later post ( STAY TUNED) But isn’t it pretty? It is 2.5 pounds of glory! I love it!
Post grocery shopping and dancing around with my new computer, I made lunch! This lunch was inspired by Caitlin and the HBO series, Hung. Anyone else out there Hung fans? I learned there were a lot of True Blood fans out there the other day! I heart HBO!
The star of the lunch meal may have been Dave’s Killer Bread. I received some bread to try the other day, and let me tell you, I am LOVING this bread. I used Dave’s High Fiber Power Seed Bread. It is 100% Whole Grain Powerseed Bread with 5 grams of fiber, 450mg Omega-3 from flax seeds, and fruit juice in place of added sugar. It’s 19g of whole grains per slice and 5g of fiber per slice!
I picked up some pepper jack cheese at the grocery store this morning, and added some slices to the bread. I love me some spicy cheese! This meal is dedicated to plain grilled cheese sandwiches everywhere!
Once the cheese was melted a bit and the bread was browning, I added some bean sprouts and some Lightlife pepperoni!
Check out those seeds on Dave’s Killer Bread. le sigh.
If that isn’t a beautiful looking sandwich, I don’t know what is. I am LOVING the bread. It may be life changing. And I am also OBSESSED with the bean sprouts in the sandwich, they added the perfect crunch to the meal. I also love the cheese on my sandwich melty and gooey!
All together now! Along with my killer sandwich, I had some cantaloupe, tea and water. I also dipped the sandwich in some mustard. It was great!
PS- Do you like my Vera Bradley placemats? I think they are great for summer/spring. I am going to have to get new ones for fall and winter, but I was so excited to decorate, I put them out today!

wow you ordered that thing FAST! i actually just got a coupon in today's mail for dell, want me to hang on to it for you? it is only 5% off and can't be used with another coupon (bday thing they sent me).
also, you made it sound like your other laptop is a clunker, which it definitely is not. MY old dell was this HUGE ugly thing, nothing like the one shown here!!!
p.s. i am excited for you for your new purchase… for my dad for april fools day my brother took away his TWO desk monitors and replaced it with that little guy. my dad was SO confused but was cracking up for weeks afterward.
you know i just got my laptop a year ago and then they released the mini shortly after that, which totally makes me mad because the mini is so cute and i just really want one. but oh well.
I LOVE HBO too! We get the East Coast HBO so I get to watch my shows earlier and get to go to sleep at a decent time. I cant believe they're making us wait an extra week before the season finales of True Blood, Hung and Entourage. My boyfriend got me into watching Entourage. Have you see it?
ok im taking too much of your comment space. ttyl
p.s. your vera bradley placemat is absolutely gorgeous!
How cute is that little laptop! Love it!
ah girl we are on opposite ends of the grocery shopping spectrum — you go once a month, i go once a day. When will we find that happy medium?!
that lap top is SO presh!
what an itty bitty, but oh so pretty computer! it fits right in the palm of your big computers lap. schweeet.
i love grocery shopping. it's a natural high of mine. mostly because i'm ridiculous human being.
i've never tried that daves bread-but i probably should!
