Semi Raw Banana-PB-M&M Ice Cream!

I saw this post from Gena at Choosing Raw about a month ago, and I saved it because I knew it was something I totally wanted to make! Please embrace:

Banana Soft Serve

Have you heard about the gloriousness that is the raw banana ice cream movement? If not, it is something totally worth checking out. First, you need frozen bananas. I did this wrong at first. You are supposed to peel the bananas first, put them in a Tupperware container or something and then freeze them. Oops! Angela had an issue with frozen banana peels this week that I hope to avoid! In order to get the peels off the frozen bananas, I popped them in the microwave for like 30 seconds and then I was able to take the peels off pretty easily. moving 724

Here are the frozen bananas in my new food processor, all ready to get made into soft serve!

Here is my new food processer. It’s a little nugget, but I don’t need anything crazy big. I think its going to be perfect for what I will use it for. It worked really well with the bananas! I love when you buy something and it lives up to your expectations!

This is the bananas after literally 45 seconds in the processor! Awesome stuff. Look at how creamy and silky it is. And that is JUST BANANAS in there! If I didn’t just do it myself, I wouldn’t believe it.

Ok, and then I derailed a little bit from the whole raw soft serve thing. I added a spoonful of peanut butter because I felt the banana needed a friend in there. And as far as I am concerned, bananas and PB are best friends.

Ok, and then I got even crazier and added frozen M & M’s. They were right next to the bananas in the freezer!! Peanut Butter and Chocolate are good buddies too, as far as I am concerned! Yum!

All together now~! moving 730

Seriously, you HAVE to try this. If you don’t have a food processer, I am sure you could do this in a blender too. It was so good.

I enjoyed it while watching the Bachelorette. Did you watch it? What did you think ? I am sad that’s over now, what am I going to watch on Monday nights from now on?

I was totally a part of the clean plate club after this! Have you made anything totally awesome in a food processor? Anything raw? What else would  you add to the banana soft serve to give it your little twist?

Nice! Who cares if it's raw or semi-raw? I think PB and M&M's were great additions!
