Since I had such a crappy mid-afternoon snack, I knew I needed to healthy it up a bit for dinner! I had to pick up my race packet for this weekend, so I made an evening out of it with Mich! We headed over to Whole Foods in Clarendon and hit up the hot and salad bars! Can you believe there are a few different Whole Foods all around where I live, but I have never eaten there before? So lame, I know! There are so many choices! It’s just so beautiful! Full of color and flavor! I was in Whole Foods heaven!
I also have to admit that it has been one of those days, and I was in need of a little vino with my salad. Did you know Whole Foods has a chilling service?!?! You plop your bottle in there for a few minutes, and the bottle is cold and ready to drink! 3 minutes = cool — 5 minutes = cold — 7 minutes = ice cold! Pure genius!

Post dinner, Mich and I made a pilgrimage to Target and picked up a few things. I got a new bikini bottom that was on sale. I think it will be super cute with a solid black top! Yay for sales! I also picked up My Sister’s Keeper. I have heard SO many good things about this. I called my library and they were out, and I am not the most patient person in the world, so I sucked it up and bought a copy. I wanted something to read during my trip to Annapolis tomorrow!

Yum, I love the Whole Foods bar! All their stuff is sooo good. I’ve heard so much about that book, too. I’ve never read it though, but I’ve liked some of Jodi Picoult’s other books. I’ll have to remember to reserve it at the library.

when you get towards the end of the book, make sure you have a box of kleenex right next to you. you’ll need it. totally loved that book.
