The Farthest I Have Ever Run

Today was the first day I have run since Tuesday. I took off the past few days to get better, since I have been sick. Today, according to the training plan I have been doing, I was supposed to run for 2 hours today. I figured I would just do what I could do, and take it easy. I ran at the gym on the treadmill today because it was threatening rain, and it was also easier on my shins.

I watched Mission Impossible in the Cardio Cinema at the gym and I ran the whole 2 hours. It was awesome! I felt real good and the time was just flying by watching the movie. I did 12 miles, and now I feel totally ready for the Zooma Half Marathon in 2 weeks. I was going a pretty ‘slow’ pace the whole time so I was pretty proud of how far I went. Yay! I was happy that my few days off didn’t affect my training schedule.

When I came home I was dying of hunger. Naturally More sent me a tub of peanut butter, and I was ready to rip into it post today’s run.     mas pics 596 mas pics 597 Naturally More peanut butter has:

I put the Peanut Butter on Honey Wheat Bread con bananas! It was delish. The peanut butter is a great combination of creamy with a little bit of the chunkiness I love so very much. It tasted so fresh and raw. It was VERY GOOD. I had to give it a little stir, as the tub suggests, but it was very delightful. The perfect post run snack!

I am a very picky person when it comes to peanut butter. It looks good though. Good job on the run!

congrats on your run!!!! that’s a loooooong time to be on a treadmill. sounds like the movie helped out a lot! i find treadmills actually give me pain (sometimes feet, sometimes back– i bet cuz my form changes). glad you can make it work for you! and i have been meaning to get that PB after seeing it on runtofinish’s blog.

Wow congrats on that run! That’s a big accomplishment.
Yum, that PB looks (and sounds!) great. I’ve been wanting to try it, but I haven’t seen it anywhere in stores here. I think I saw on their website that they only sell it at Walmart in Michigan, and I never go there. I might to get some of this, though!
    Have a great monday!
