I went on a nice little run this evening. It was a good time. I got in 5.5 – 6 miles in, not sure of the exact mileage. I felt good about it. I go many different routes on my different runs. This route is one of my longer ones, and I am excited to take you on my journey. Here is where I run:
I run alongside lots of cars
I run past playgrounds
(I hope the parents didn’t think I was some sort of freak taking random pictures of a playground whilst running by!)
I run by hospitals
I run in beautiful developments
I run past wildflowers
I run by man made ponds
Sometimes I run on the path
Sometimes I run off the beaten path
Sometimes I go off-roading all together on my running route
I run alongside parkways
I run in the ‘forest’
I run over bridges
I run past fountains
Sometimes I come to forks in the road and I have to make some ‘big’ decisions
I run past lakes
I apparently also take some blurry pictures while running
I run past a lot of water
There are long paths
And ones that come to a quick end
I run past ducks
I run by pools
I run by basketball courts
I run over more bridges
Apparently I ran too far and my Garmin died. Tear.
I run past here and every time I see at least 10 deer, obviously the one time I have my camera, there are no deer
Almost home! And there you have it folks. One of my many running routes. As previously mentioned, I don’t know exactly how far I went because my stupid Garmin died. I will review my new Garmin Forerunner 405 in detail later this week, but it was annoying that it lost power during the last mile of my run. Technology hates me.
It was really cool taking pictures on my run, while some people may have thought I was crazy, it was an awesome way to make the run go by faster. I was thinking the whole time about blogging about it, and before I knew it, the run was over. Definitely made the time fly by!
Where do you run?
I came home and made a green(/orange) monster. It included: carrots, celery, cucumber, red pepper and an apple.
It was delish! Did I mention I heart my Amazing Grass juice cup?! Because I DO!
Sonny & Joe’s sent me a killer package with 7 different types of hummus! Seriously, that’s a lot of hummus! I can’t wait to try all the different types.
Tonight I busted out the Babaganough Eggplant spread for my post run snack/dinner. It was really good, and I was finishing off a good chunk of the container when I read the ingredients, and it contains mayo. Mayonnaise sometimes can freak me out, and I was kind of surprised to find it in my hummus. This ‘mayo phobia’ is a recent thing, not sure why. Either way the hummus was still good. I liked the mild eggplant flavoring a lot!

wow, that run is quite LONG, at least you have a lot to look at! I usually run around our neighborhood, taking twists and turns and different roads so I can make my run longer.
hey i’ve been meaning to tell you that the company who sent you the organic garlic chives is actually less than 20 miles from where I live AND my coworker’s daughter is their web graphic designer AND she will give me a weekend tour! how cool is that?!
Your run is much more scenic than mine I just circle the .5 mile lake maintained by my complex. Boring..I know.
All that hummus looks amazing! I will be incorporating a 4 pepper hummus in my lunch tomorrow…but all the things I could do with all those flavors yum!
Very nice run! Can I come run with you?
WOW this was a monster post and i loved it!!! i am a visual learner and loved going through your running routes! a great idea 🙂
I love this post!
WOw, the scenery of your run is awesome! Lucky duck!
I just got my garmin (305) a few weeks ago, and I have to charge it after every run or else the battery dies. And let me tell ya, my runs are not long (yet!) I wonder if that’s normal? Do you think yours died because of the battery or it lost the satellite? I’m thinking battery since it’s a dead screen.
