It was beautiful this weekend! Boyf and I hit up Great Falls Park which is only a few miles from my house. I can’t believe something like this is literally a few minutes from my house. Its so beautiful. This is the Potomac River going down the falls. I am on the Virginia side, across the river is Maryland. The falls are CRAZY this weekend due to all the rain we have had, which is why we went to check it out. Usually there are tons more rocks to see, and people are always kayaking down the river. Not this weekend. The water is moving crazy fast. Not safe for water activities! The park ranger said it peaked on Wednesday and pretty much all the rocks shown were covered! So nuts!
Here is Jackson and I posing in front of the falls. EVERYONE was there this weekend with their dogs. Jackson made so many new friends. He was such a trailblazer!

Ok, so it was muddy, and I didn’t want Jackson to get dirty, so I carried him over the muddy parts. Boyf thought I was ‘making Jackson feel like less of a man’ by doing this. But if doggie is going to sleep on my bed with me, doggie must not go traipsing through the mud!
I got to bust out my North Face mountain shoes! I bought these at an outlet last summer. I knew I would need them someday! I loved them, they were so comfortable and sturdy. Some chicks were walking around the park in heels! WTF? Seriously, if you are coming to a National Park…leave the heels at home please. Thanks.

Today was the perfect opportunity to bust out my new Camelback. It was awesome. So comfortable. I didn’t even notice it was there unless I wanted a sip of water. Great buy! Jackson had a water break too.

Jackson was seriously knocked out after this day of trailblazing. He peaced out for a nap the second we got back in the car. I think he had a great time though. Boyf and I had so much fun. I can’t wait to go back again!
