This blog started out all about my life with my new puppy Jackson. He is a Bischon Frise/Shih Tzu mix, born on August 17, 2006. He is 12 pounds of glory and a total stud. Jackson has many looks and every time he gets his hair cut he looks like a completely different pup. See the transformation for yourself here and here too.
I first started this blog with the intention of posting only about Jackson. Since he was a puppy I have taken pictures of him constantly. I can’t get enough of him! Then when I moved back home to Virginia for a year, and fiance (then boyf) was in Philly, I posted pictures of Jackson and what he was doing that day for Fiance to see because he missed him lots.
Its crazy how the blog has transformed from solely about Jackson and what he was wearing every day to a blog about my life and then morphing into a healthy living, eating and exercising focus. It wasn’t long before I was hooked on being a foodie, posting my eats and trying out new recipes all the time. I then wanted to take it one step further with a healthy focus and try to live a healthier and happier life.
I couldn’t imagine even starting a blog without Jackson. He has enriched my life as a pet and I can’t imagine my life without him. When I first started Jackson’s World and then wanted to make the transition over to my own site, I really wanted to keep him in the title of the blog because he is the reason I started blogging in the first place – hence And Her Little Dog Too.
Jackson is always popping up into my photographs, inspecting my packages and checking out my eats. He also has starred in a few videos ( check out my favorite ones here, here and here). These videos were the first of JacksonTV, all of which can be seen here.

Jackson is so adorable. I am currently looking for my own furry little companion. I hope I'm lucky enough to find one like Jackson. Although I have a long way to go, I've made many changes toward living a healthier life as well.
